C.J., a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life in a devastating accident at the age of 29. His untimely departure has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Born on June 4, 1995, in Pittsburgh, C.J. was the cherished son of Robert and Michelle Hackett. From the very beginning, C.J. displayed an energy and enthusiasm for life that was infectious. His boundless curiosity, eagerness to learn, and innate ability to make people smile left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. His family often marveled at his early interest in exploring the world around him—whether through his love of sports, his penchant for technology, or his genuine interest in understanding the lives of others.
Growing up in Pittsburgh, C.J. developed close relationships with friends and neighbors, many of whom remember him fondly for his kindness, wit, and sense of humor. He attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. His passion for football, coupled with his dedication to his studies, earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and teachers alike. As a varsity athlete, he played with the spirit of a true team player and was well-loved by his teammates. He always managed to inspire and encourage others, never hesitating to lend a hand when needed.
After high school, C.J. pursued a degree in business administration at the University of Pittsburgh, where his natural leadership abilities began to shine. He was a dynamic student leader involved in several clubs and activities, and he was known for his unwavering work ethic and his commitment to excellence. C.J. had dreams of one day becoming a successful entrepreneur and was determined to make a lasting impact on the world.
Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, C.J. had a deep love for his city. Pittsburgh was his home—its people, its culture, and its vibrant sports scene were woven into the very fabric of his identity. Whether it was attending Pittsburgh Steelers games, gathering with friends to cheer on the Pittsburgh Penguins, or simply taking a walk through the city’s parks and neighborhoods, C.J. was always proud to call Pittsburgh his own.
